KLR is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to support our growing business.
Job Responsibilities:
- End User Support:
- Tasks: Assist users with technical issues related to network, computers, cell phones, tablets, and software.
- Skills Required: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and technical knowledge of various devices and software.
- System Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Tasks: Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, peripherals, and manage user accounts, including rights and security.
- Skills Required: Technical expertise in hardware and software systems, understanding of user account management, and knowledge of security protocols.
- Hardware and Software Management:
- Tasks: Document, maintain, upgrade, and replace hardware and software systems.
- Skills Required: Ability to keep detailed documentation, understanding of when and how to upgrade or replace systems, and knowledge of different hardware and software.
- Laptop Maintenance:
- Tasks: Perform updates to Windows operating system and BIOS on laptops.
- Skills Required: Familiarity with Windows OS and BIOS update processes, and attention to detail for system updates.
- VMware Virtual Environment Knowledge:
- Tasks: Work with VMware for virtual environment management.
- Skills Required: Experience with VMware and virtual machine management, as well as understanding virtualization concepts.
- Remote Support:
- Tasks: Provide remote support using tools like Zoom, Microsoft 365, and Fast Support.
- Skills Required: Proficiency in remote support tools, ability to diagnose and resolve issues remotely, and excellent communication skills for virtual interaction.
- Operational Accountability:
- Tasks: Demonstrate accountability and adhere to standards in all operational duties.
- Skills Required: Powerful sense of responsibility, commitment to quality work, and ability to follow protocols and standards.

Job Qualifications
- Associates degree desired or 2 years of experience
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10)
- Microsoft Office products (O365/) Teams, Zoom, Outlook
- People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Flexible attitude in an environment with varying priorities and management styles
- Dependable - available to work after hours and weekends is a must
We are looking for a candidate to work full time. Normal hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with increased hours during tax busy seasons: February through April and September through October. These periods require increasing normal weekly hours, which includes rotating after-hours and weekends.
