About the opportunity :

Kahnem is partnering with a high-growth startup based in San Francisco looking to hire a Business Development Representative. The company is redefining how businesses tackle fundamental challenges in sales, customer support, and operations through AI. They experienced exponential growth this past year, raised a big funding round, and are now building a world-class BDR team to drive more growth.

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you'll be the first point of contact for prospective customers, playing a critical role in driving the early growth of the company. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and a hunger to succeed in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will :

  • Identify, research, and qualify prospective customers through outbound calls, emails, and other engagement strategies.
  • Execute personalized and creative outreach to engage leads and book meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to align on campaigns and feedback from leads, and deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM system. Monitor outreach performance, experiment with messaging, and implement best practices to improve conversion rates.

Here are the requirements if you want to be considered :

  • A bachelor’s degree is ideal. Certifications related to sales techniques, lead generation, relationship management, and closing are a bonus.
  • Previous internship or entry-level role experience in software sales or sales in general is preferred. Regardless of what you were selling, you’ll need to demonstrate a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Also, exposure to CRM tools is ideal but can be learned on the job.
  • Basic ability to handle objections and negotiate terms. Ability to build rapport with customers and understand their needs.
  • Organization and time management skills. Ability to manage a sales pipeline, set priorities, and meet targets.
  • Staying motivated in high-pressure, target-driven environments. Eagerness and proactivity to learn. Adaptability to new challenges in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships over the phone or via email.
  • Compensation and Benefits :

    This position offers an OTE compensation of $100,000 (a base salary of $60,000 plus a commission target of $40,000). Also, it offers equity in the company.

    Additional details about benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, will be shared later in the hiring process. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, location, and applicable tax regulations.

    To ensure we move the right talent forward, we follow a multi-stage candidate evaluation process that helps our clients hire with confidence and make better hiring decisions.     At Kahnem, we believe transparency is important to build an effective partnership. As you advance with us in the process, these are some of the steps you should expect to complete to reach final interviews with our client :

  • Submit the application form. This is the first step towards finding a new role that’s the perfect fit for you. Here, we will collect general information about you and your career preferences.
  • Answer 2-3 follow-up questions. We want to learn more about your work preferences, career goals, skills, and past results. Your answers to these questions will help us match your talents with future positions that align with your aspirations.
  • Learn more about the opportunity. Schedule a 15-minute call with a recruiter to learn more about the opportunity, including details about the company, the compensation, and what success looks like in the role.
  • Interview with the hiring manager. The recruiter will schedule a 30-45-minute interview between you and the hiring manager. The hiring manager will focus on getting to know you and learning more about your relevant experience and past results. Also, this interview will allow you to determine if the position aligns with what you want to do next in your career.
  • Share your reference list. Before moving forward to the final stages of the process, we will need a list of your professional references as additional verification. We will only contact them once you are selected for the job and before a potential offer.
  • Final interviews with the hiring team. We will coordinate the final steps with the rest of the hiring team and help you prepare for those interviews. These final interviews are used to decide who to hire for the position.
  • Offer. If you are selected for the role, we will assist you during the offer presentation and negotiation, providing guidance on what to expect and answering any questions you may have to make sure you accept with confidence.
  • Great news! - If you complete our process and don’t get selected for the position, you won’t need to go through all the steps again. We will have your information saved for future opportunities and commit to advocating for you and matching your talents with positions that align with your aspirations.

    Salary : $40,000 - $100,000
