Kalahari Resorts & Conventions delivers a waterpark resort and conference experience all under one roof. The authentically African-inspired resort is home to America's largest indoor waterparks and features well-appointed guest rooms, full-service Spa Kalahari, a fun-filled family entertainment center, on-site signature restaurants, unique retail shops and a state-of-the-art convention center.
We are inviting you to apply for the open Assistant Pastry Chef position. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Pastry Chef in direction and management of all bake shop operations and associates, assuring the proper preparation of all baked items for the Resort's restaurants, food and beverage outlets, and banquet day-to-day pastry production and operations. Must also be able to perform the duties of the Executive Pastry Chef in their absence.
Salary Range- $60,000-$70,000
Required Skills
- We require a background of five years' progressive pastry experience and three years of management experience.
- Basic knowledge of P&L, food cost/inventory management, recipe costing, kitchen sanitation, and food safety regulations.
Nice to Have Skills
- Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts Degree
- Prior experience with Bake shop/pastry production is helpful.
- Bi-lingual English and Spanish.
Weekends, evenings and holiday availability is a must.
