Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are strictly followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute dessert menus for special events or daily offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure seamless production.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Utilize various kitchen tools and equipment safely, including knives, mixers, ovens, and other baking appliances.
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the dessert menu offerings.
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff on pastry techniques and food safety practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and best practices in food production.
- Familiarity with various pastry techniques and styles, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and confections.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen equipment.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
