GENERAL SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to oversee account receivables, expenditures, and reporting regarding the Environmental Justice Community Change Block Grant Program (EJCCBG). Supports the managing EJCCBG team with the monitoring of deadlines and ensures compliance with budget requirements, grant regulations, statutes, policies, and standards. This position develops and maintains an overview of all grants, internal and external deadlines, and filing of grant reporting documents. Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial information and maintain systems and controls to deliver reliable analysis and performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Environmental Justice Community Change Block Grant Program (EJCCBG) account balances and ensure grant compliance.
- Review and approve expenditure invoices, review chargebacks, and submit budget adjustments and/or journal entries as needed.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to assess compliance and prepare and enter monthly reports for the program administrator.
- Prepare the EJCCBG Budget vs. actual expenditure analysis for review with the Program Administrator and staff.
- Work with EJCCBG management and personnel to validate expenditures invoiced to the program.
- Communicate with grant partners and sub-awardees regarding payment invoices and necessary documentation.
- Perform related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, accounting, finance, business, or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of related work experience in grant management, regulatory compliance, accounting, government operations, or similar areas.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
