Here is what you’ll do :
PRIMARY FUNCTION :
The Grant Coordinator is responsible for supporting the organization’s grant-seeking activities by identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant proposals, and supporting the application process. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all grants are submitted on time, comply with funder guidelines, and are effectively tracked and reported.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, nonprofit management or similar field preferred, but not required.
- At least two years’ experience and proven success in coordination and administration within a nonprofit
- Must pass criminal, child abuse and neglect, and sex offender background checks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and other electronic platforms
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including editing
- Must have excellent command of the English language
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to effectively work independently, prioritize, multi-task and shift tasks
- Able to work in shared workspace with distractions
- Demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and Instrumentl is preferred, but not required
- Be able to demonstrate the mission of YWCA Kalamazoo and adhere to it
