KPM Law, an established, mid-size law firm is seeking a full-time administrative legal assistant for their Workers’ Compensation team. This is a key role within our Workers’ Compensation Team, and the successful candidate will be integral in assisting our attorneys with cases from inception to final hearing. We seek candidates who have strong organizational skills, are detail-oriented, and are able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. Superior knowledge of technology and filing systems is preferred. This is an in-office position, with some flexibility to work from home on occasion. Our firm culture is very warm, inviting, and supportive. Staff turnover is low and job satisfaction is high.
Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of technology including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook & Excel)
- Attention to detail and accuracy a must!!!
- Strong organizational, communication, and typing skills are also a must!!!
- Ability to work independently, take direction, and manage time efficiently
- Experience with a document management system and ability to learn Prolaw Litigation Management system
- Willingness to receive and implement feedback
- Work experience in a legal capacity, administrative role, or office environment is a preferred!
Responsibilities:
- Opening, organizing, and managing electronic case files
- Calendaring and docketing to ensure timely case management
- Administrative duties to support attorneys and enhance office efficiency
- Assembling of hearing/trial exhibits
- Drafting form legal documents for review by supervising attorney
