Pack-Land Technician

Reports to: Technical Production Manager Department: Technical Production
Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt Division: Production / Cold Heading Support Shift: 3rd
Approved: Technical Production Manager

JOB SUMMARY:Performs duties pertaining to building and servicing Packs:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare the next job going into the header.
• Repair packs / transfers cutter packs for the header line.
• Report tools that needed changed to Tool Service.
• Troubleshoot jobs if need before they go to the header.
• Support Cold Heading setups as needed to gain knowledge of the process.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interdepartmental communication regarding prints, tooling, and changes that will help setup times.
• Housekeeping / 6s.
• Check in on pack change setups as needed to gain a better understanding.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Physically able to bend, stoop, climb and reach.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Cold Heading (machine operation) experience is highly preferred.
• Basic MS Office knowledge, specifically Outlook and Excel.

ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES:

• Some noise – heavy machinery.
• Grinding dust.
• Added responsibility as outlined in the Environmental Management System.
• Over head crane operation
