Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 Storage and Backup Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in storage and backup technologies, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, optimization, and ensuring the reliability and performance of enterprise-level storage and backup systems. This role requires advanced problem-solving skills, the ability to lead complex projects, and provide expert-level support to internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as the highest level of escalation for troubleshooting and resolving complex storage and backup-related issues.
Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level storage and backup solutions, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents and provide long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
Optimize storage and backup infrastructure to meet business requirements and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute storage and backup strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Monitor and maintain storage and backup systems, ensuring compliance with security and data protection policies.
Evaluate and recommend new storage and backup technologies, tools, and best practices.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to L1/L2 support teams.
Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Lead disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience in storage and backup technologies
Proven expertise in managing enterprise-level storage systems (e.g., NetApp Block, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, HPE)
Strong knowledge of backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Rubrik)
Experience with cloud storage and backup solutions (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage)
Familiarity with SAN, NAS, RAID, and data replication technologies
Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience in storage and backup technologies
