Kaprikorn is Hiring a Facility Maintenance Worker!
Kaprikorn is an Oregon family-owned and operated recreational licensed cannabis company with a nursery in Lowell, OR and indoor cannabis facility in Eugene, OR. We are hiring for a full-time Maintenance Worker that will work at both locations as needed.

Position: Maintenance Worker
This position will cover a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and construction tasks as well as general labor. Typical jobs may include repairing irrigation systems, HVAC cleaning and filter replacement, diagnosing and repairing various equipment, cleanup and organization, and construction of grow rooms and greenhouses.
This person will work alongside the Facilities Manager assisting with various tasks as needed, respond to repair requests from other employees, and perform scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability and desire to learn: Must have a strong desire to learn about new systems and processes.
Mechanical background: Prior experience in agriculture, HVAC, mechanics, construction, industrial maintenance, or a similar field is strongly desired.
Knowledge of electricity and fluid dynamics: Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Problem-solving skills: Ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in different environments and handling diverse challenges.
Computer skills: Must be able to use computer and smartphone to record and organize tasks, look up information, order parts, and communicate with team members.
If you are a fast learner, have a strong mechanical aptitude, take direction well and are hard working then you might be right for this position. Kaprikorn will train the right applicant as needed. The person in this position will work 5 days a week. Shifts are 7:00am-3:30pm.
Maintenance Worker Responsibilities:
- Assisting Facilities Manager with any tasks as needed
- Routine maintenance including changing HVAC filters, replacing grow lights, greasing machines
- Cleaning equipment and facilities including lights, fans, HVAC coils, roofs, etc.
- Repairing and building irrigation systems
- Conduct general building and facility maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with equipment that may include electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
- Determine when new parts and equipment are needed and source them from the appropriate suppliers
- Assist in construction of new projects and expansions
Additional Duties May Include:
- Assisting the grow team with plant work, packaging, cleaning, deliveries, or other tasks
Note: wildfires are common in Oregon in the summer. Be aware this position will require working in smoky conditions in accordance with OSHA standards. In some cases that means workers must wear a respirator while working.

- 21 years old or older and eligible for an OLCC worker permit
Physical Job Requirements
Standing, Sitting and Walking:
- Ability to stand and/or sit up to 8-10 hours per day.
- Ability to walk or move around frequently, including down narrow aisles.
Lifting and Carrying:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Ability to lift heavy objects from floor to waist level and from waist level to shoulder level.
Environmental:
- Ability to work for extended periods in uncomfortable environments including high temperature and humidity.
Repetitive Movements:
- Physiological capability to perform sustained repetitive work for 8-10 hours a day on every workday.
- This includes repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements, including gripping, grasping, and fine motor tasks, and also repetitive bending, twisting, and reaching motions.
Manual Dexterity:
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to perform precision tasks.
- Ability to manipulate tools and equipment with precision.
Postural Requirements:
- Ability to maintain various postures for extended periods, including sitting, standing, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
- Ability to crawl attics and work in tight or uncomfortable spaces
- Ability to perform tasks while in awkward or static positions, such as reaching over.
Strength and Endurance:
- Adequate physical strength to exert force repeatedly without fatigue or ergonomic injury.
- Stamina to perform physical tasks continuously without experiencing undue fatigue.
Coordination and Balance:
- Good balance, athleticism and coordination to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
- Ability to climb and work from ladders repeatedly throughout the day.
Sensory Abilities:
- Adequate vision (with or without corrective lenses) to see details up close and at a distance.
- Good hearing ability (with or without hearing aids) to detect and respond to sounds and alarms.
