Reporting to the Human Resources Manager (with indirect reporting to the Site Director) the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will be an essential member of the site leadership team, working in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The HRBP will work from our Seattle manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be key in partnering with leadership and staff across departments to support the achievement of business goals while managing HR operations, employee relations matters, recruiting, onboarding, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Business partnership and support - Collaborate with plant leadership and department heads to support the achievement of business goals and HR initiatives.
- Employee relations and engagement - Handle employee inquiries, assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities, partner with leadership to address employee relations issues, including conflicts and grievances. Consistently apply progressive disciplinary policies. Monitor, assess, and improve the employee experience.
- Recruiting and onboarding - Collaborate with the corporate talent acquisition team and site management to fill open positions. Lead the recruiting and onboarding process for the Seattle facility.
- Compliance and HR Systems - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices. Maintain HR records and documentation in accordance with legal and company requirements.
- Operations and administration - Administer HR programs such as attendance, compensation, leave programs, and performance management. Managing general office needs, including ordering supplies, maintaining the front lobby and conference rooms, greeting visitors, and managing incoming mail. Support corporate benefits administration and payroll processing.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- 1-3 years' experience in a human resources generalist, administrative, or managerial role, with experience in recruiting, employee relations, and HR operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems, preferably ADP.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
- Initiative and self-motivation to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with employees at all levels.
- A positive attitude and a passion for creating a great workplace.
