Job Description:
Kare Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our orthodontic lab, contributing to the creation and maintenance of high-quality orthodontic appliances and devices. This position requires a strong understanding of orthodontic principles, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate orthodontic appliances, including retainers, aligners, and other custom devices, according to specifications provided by orthodontists.
- Perform repairs and adjustments on existing appliances to ensure optimal patient comfort and effectiveness.
- Utilize various laboratory equipment and tools, including 3D printers, vacuum formers, and hand tools, to produce high-quality orthodontic products.
- Maintain accurate records of all lab work, including materials used and time spent on each project.
- Collaborate with orthodontists and dental staff to ensure timely delivery of appliances and address any concerns or modifications needed.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations within the laboratory environment.
- Keep the laboratory organized and clean, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in orthodontic technology and techniques to enhance lab efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in dental technology or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in an orthodontic or dental laboratory setting is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Excellent communication skills, with a native proficiency in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality workmanship.
