Are you an adept leader experienced in managing overnight operations and driving teams toward excellence? If you excel in fast-paced environments and have a knack for proactive problem-solving, we want you to spearhead our night operations as a Night Shift Manager!
Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Direct and coordinate a team of sweeper truck operators to ensure efficient night operations
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure drivers perform pre-route inspections, immediately report any damage or concerns, and coordinate with maintenance to ensure services are scheduled and completed to minimize operational delays
- Quality Control: Oversee the overnight drivers, ensuring compliance with routes, safety protocols, and service level agreements
- Driver Support: Monitor operations in real-time to swiftly address any issues such as breakdowns or route changes
- Process Management: Develop and communicate driver schedules, maintaining detailed records for seamless transitions and ongoing improvement
- Team Communication: Ensure constant communication with drivers, fleet management, and day supervisors to uphold service excellence
- Training and Development: Onboard and train new drivers, continually coach the team, enhancing skills and ensuring quality performance
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a supervisory role
- Expertise in route management, scheduling, and adhering to SLAs
- Proficiency with fleet management software and GPS tracking tools
- Exceptional problem-solving skills; ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure
- Proven leadership, with a track record of supervising, coaching, and motivating teams
- Comfort with working outdoors during overnight shifts and handling emergency situations
- Must possess a valid Class E Driver’s License
