Our headquarter office, located in the heart of Long Island, is seeking a Junior Accounts Payable Clerk to assist our dynamic Accounting and Finance department with seamless completion of day-to-day tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Enter all coding into financial software to ensure timely posting of invoices.
- Ensure client guidelines are adhered to, route and track appropriate invoices per carrier.
- Ensuring all invoices are posted or sent to carriers for payment.
- Resource for Office Managers and Billing Team surrounding questions on invoice status.
- Direct invoices to the appropriate personnel, to ensure timely payment and completion.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Maintain an organized system of preparing envelopes for mailing checks.
- Assist with daily check signing process.
- Assist the team with check requests.
- Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process.
- Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department and firm operations.

Qualifications
- Educational background in Accounting or related field required.
- Familiarity with Excel, as well as Accounting software (QuickBooks, Coyote, Chrome River) highly preferred.
- The ability to maintain attention to detail when reviewing checks and invoices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of attorneys and staff.
- Must have reliable transportation to commute to the Woodbury, Long Island office, 5 days a week.
The total compensation range for this position is $42,000 - $50,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
