Role Summary: The Accounting Coordinator I supports the accounting department by managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role involves processing accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) and supports the finance department as needed. Additionally, they ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors and customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing financial processes to support the companies’ overall financial health. Additionally, they will provide back-up assistance to the property manager as needed.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Incorporation of the Companies' Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with other staff, customers, and stakeholders.
- Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Prepare and send customer invoices, record payments, and track accounts receivable.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Assist in tracking and recording company expenses, ensuring proper categorization.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and other parties as needed.
- Support the finance team with month-end closing activities.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and reporting.
- Support special projects and process improvements within the finance department.
- Provide assistance and backup, as needed, to the property manager.
- Understand and comply with the Companies' Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Knowledge of all Company products and services.
- Participate in and comply with all Company training.
- Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner.
- Report all hazards and/or safety concerns to a supervisor as soon as possible.
- Other duties as assigned.

-Working knowledge of QuickBooks, Office 365, and other Company Software.
Physical Demands and Requirements:
- Mobility across the site.
- Ability to handle stress and pressure created by simultaneous demands.
- Ability to work on-site, indoors and outdoors, with exposure to noise, heat and cold.
- Ability to frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
- Ability to work with members of the public requiring appropriate appearance and attire.
