IT Help Desk Technician
Day shift with occasional overtime – Hourly
Pay commensurate with experience
Job Summary:
An IT Helpdesk Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users and employees within an organization. This role involves resolving hardware and software issues, troubleshooting network problems, and ensuring efficient and reliable IT operations. IT Helpdesk Technicians play a crucial role in maintaining the productivity and functionality of an organization's IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. User Support:
· Provide technical support via phone, email, and in-person.
· Assist with hardware and software issues, setup, and troubleshooting.
2. Issue Resolution:
· Diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems.
· Log and prioritize support requests, escalating complex issues.
3. Hardware and Software Maintenance:
· Perform routine maintenance and updates.
· Install, upgrade, and manage hardware/software.
· Monitor and manage IT inventory, including asset tracking and disposal.
4. Network Troubleshooting:
· Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, both wired and wireless.
· Assist with configuring and troubleshooting network devices,

· Create and maintain documentation for common technical issues, solutions, and user guides.
6. Customer Service:
· Maintain a positive and helpful attitude when interacting with end-users.
7. Continuous Learning:
· Stay updated with the latest IT trends, technologies, and certifications relevant to the role.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· An associate degree in computer science, computer information technology, or a related field preferred.
· Certifications such as CompTIA A , CompTIA Network , CCNA, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or related certifications may be advantageous.
· Previous work experience in IT, a related field, and/or customer service is preferred, but not required.
· Strong aptitude in problem-solving, customer service, organization, documentation, and communication.
· Knowledge of windows operating systems and common software applications.
· Familiarity with basic networking concepts.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
· Time management and prioritization skills.
