A Global Telecom Company is seeking a DBA to join their team in Ashburn, VA!
Seeking a minimum of 4 years of experience and this candidate must have experience designing and architecting a database.
- Proficiency in MySQL / MariaDB database installation, management and production support.
- Experience with Database monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Experience in data modeling, database logical and physical design.
- Understanding of MySQL / MariaDB underlying storage engines.
- Understanding of MySQL / MariaDB partitioning.
- Ability to plan resource requirements from high-level specifications.
- Proficient analyzing and optimizing SQL statements.
- Understanding of Sharding, Master-Master, Master-Slave replication.
- Experience with MySQL / MariaDB containers for Docker / Kubernetes.
- Experience with Data migrations, Export / Imports.
- Shell scripting proficiency.
- Linux / Unix proficiency.
- Knowledge of MySQL / MariaDB features, such as its event scheduler, functions, stored procedures, triggers, etc.
- Knowledge of standards and best practices in MySQL / MariaDB.
