Job Summary
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of a company’s supply chain, including warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and distribution. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate logistics operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Plan and optimize transportation routes to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
- Oversee warehouse operations and ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics activities.
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Train and supervise logistics staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to protocols.
- Identify process improvements to enhance logistics operations and reduce costs.
- Handle and resolve logistics-related issues, including delays, damages, and discrepancies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and warehouse safety standards.
