Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations in a fast-paced medical environment. This role is crucial in ensuring that our clinic runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an overall positive patient experience.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer, screen and direct telephone calls, emails, text messages, messages from social media platforms.
- Make daily outbound calls daily to confirm appointments and follow up on leads.
- Register customers, verify and update data, assist customers in completing forms and document all the information received
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate staff or department.
- Process patient check-ins and check-outs, including collecting necessary documentation and payments.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry to support office management.
- Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow within the clinic.
- Strong sales & social media skills and proficient in CRMs and/or medical practice management systems.
Skills
- Previous experience in a retail sales and med spa receptionist is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a clinic or med spa setting.
- Strong focus in customer service.
- Ability to follow up and follow through.
- Proficiency in clerical tasks and office management practices.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service.
- Must be proficient with computers, social media and general office equipment
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment.
- Experience with electronic health record systems such as Boulevard is preferred
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling client information
- Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions
