Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to coordinate and oversee the grants program, scholarship program and Give Where You Live giving day. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a proven track record in managing complex projects. This role requires effective communication, strategic planning, attention to details and the ability to coordinate various stakeholders to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Scholarship Management: Meet with donors and the President/CEO when setting up scholarships and follow-up during process of establishing a new one. Field questions from the general public about the scholarship process, updates scholarship applications as needed, and prepares and distributes information as it relates to the scholarship application process. Set up selection committees and coordinate them. Work with getting scores and finalizing selection. Review all scholarships annually and make updates and reopen for the next year.
- Grants Management: Oversee and coordinate three main grant programs which includes updating and reopening each grant cycle, setting up meetings with grants committees, train new members, work in our software to put grant applications and reviews online, take minutes for record keeping and the audit trail, understand our grants software and work with other team members, donors, board and others as necessary.
- Give Where You Live (annual giving day) Management – Oversee the Give Where You Live (GWYL) giving day as it relates to registering participants and training nonprofits, work closely with Communication Coordinator to create theme, social media, the GWYL website, marketing materials including signage and t-shirts, create a list of prizes and communicate with nonprofits. This person is our main point of contact with our online platform currently NeonOne, to make sure everything is in place and competed in a timely manner. Create a timeline for staff, nonprofits and public, works closely with KACF staff to administer the backside of the Give Where You Live campaign by taking applications, training nonprofits to set up websites, understand the mechanics and reports of the on-line platform host (at this time NeonOne), create donor reports and issue checks or rejections letters. And must work closely with Accounting Manager to coordinate and disseminate GWYL financial information
Experience
- Proven experience in project/program management, including project/program coordination and leadership roles.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering and analysis, with the ability to translate needs into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a knack for working with different personalities.
- Candidates need to be computer savvy, motivated, a multi-tasker, organized, a team player, a people person and adaptable. They also need to meet deadlines, have excellent proven communication skills and have a positive attitude.
This position reports to the KACF President/CEO.
