Hours: 40 hours per week; 2080 hours per year

Vacation - 10 days front loaded for the first year, then you will earn a half day each year moving forward

Must have or be able to obtain NE CDL and Bus Permit (Paid for by KPS).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education : Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Nebraska CDL with School Bus and Passenger Endorsements.
- Must possess a good driving record and be of good moral character.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include, but are not limited to)
- Drives routes and/or serves as a para as needed.
- Drives activity trips including some nights and weekends.
- Assists with shuttling vehicles to and from service departments as needed.
- Performs basic cleaning of buses, primarily the interior, and also assist with general upkeep of the shop area, bus barn, and office.
- Assists the Director with all facets of the department including support of other drivers and paras.
- Assists the Director, Mechanic, and other Operations Coordinators with all aspects of the transportation department.
- Assists with maintaining accurate vehicle records.
- Answers phone calls and questions from the public.
- Meets, greets, and answers questions of visitors to the office.
- Demonstrates the ability to establish and improve upon procedures and routines for the Transportation Department.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director.
