Keeco is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Manufacturing to drive operational excellence across all our manufacturing plants. This role involves coaching and mentoring plant managers, fostering the adoption of best practices, and enhancing efficiency and performance across facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, project management, and financial acumen, with a proven ability to lead complex initiatives and align operations with strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Align manufacturing operations with company goals and lead change initiatives.
- Operational Excellence: Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize production and reduce waste.
- Team Management: Inspire and build high-performing teams, fostering collaboration across departments.
- Product Knowledge: Ensure compliance with quality standards in textiles, fibers, and bedding production.
- Customer Focus: Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of customer orders while implementing eco-friendly practices.
- Project Management: Oversee complex projects to drive improvements and cost reductions.
- Performance Management: Conduct performance appraisals for plant managers and set goals in collaboration with executive leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive vendor scorecard enhancements and on-time shipping performance.
- Best Practices: Develop and implement best practices in production, scheduling, inventory management, and quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Production Operations, or related field.
- 10 years of experience in plant manufacturing, including plant management.
- Utility bedding experience preferred
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing processes and continuous improvement.
- Strong financial skills in managing budgets and controlling costs.
- Excellent communication and team-building skills.
- Ability to work independently in a hands-on environment.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods, use common office equipment, and occasionally lift items (up to 20 lbs.).
- Capability to work in both office and manufacturing environments, with exposure to moderate noise and varying temperatures.
Work Environment:
- Office environment with low to moderate noise levels.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, and moderate to high noise levels in designated areas.
