Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in, Mobile Home Parks Residential Landlord and Tenant Act with experience in legal drafting of notices, forms and procedures. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and PCLaw. The Paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting staff by preparing legal documents, conducting research, and ensuring that all case files are meticulously maintained.
Duties
- Assist staff in the preparation of legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and motions.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw to support case strategies and client needs.
- Manage files by organizing documents, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to keep client information up-to-date.
- Draft correspondence and communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases.
- Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines and coordinating tasks among team members.
- Review and summarize files to identify relevant information for ongoing cases.
- Collaborate with attorneys on trial preparation including exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or legal department.
- Strong knowledge of Mobile Home Parks Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, Family Law, is preferred.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and document preparation.
- Familiarity with PCLaw or similar case management software is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to perform data entry tasks accurately under tight deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills.
