Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and working with crew members in the building erection process of pre-engineered/convetional metal and wood framed buildings. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading 4-5 crew members in daily duties and assisting in training new teammates.
- Working with Project Management to ensure proper staffing, materials, and equipment are on site to meet project deadlines.
- Coordinating schedules and work areas with subcontractors.
- Monitoring quality control and safety standards for Keller employees and subcontractors.
- Completing daily paperwork such as daily reports, timecards, and quality control sheets.
- Keeping the construction team informed about job progress and updates.
- Maintaining a safe work environment for all members on the job site.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience (preferred).
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel within the state of WI.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (0-80lbs from ground to waist level, 0-50lbs from ground to shoulder level).
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods while performing physical labor.
- Ability to operate tools and equipment.
- Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions.
