Job Summary
The Mechanical Planner will be responsible for creating and assembling job plans that ensure safe and efficient execution of job scopes in the field. This involves adhering to EH&S standards and local regulations, utilizing the Elevated Work Access Selection Tool, and ensuring job package accuracy.
Main Duties
- Adhere to EH&S standards and local regulations when creating job plans.
- Use the Elevated Work Access Selection Tool to identify safe alternate means of access and reduce worker risk.
- Ensure job package accuracy with zero errors and omissions, and no field changes.
- Verify job package content conforms to GMWP Step 2.1.11 (Job Plan Package Contents).
- Review PM orders for technical completeness and scope clarity, and send back to gatekeeper if incomplete or insufficient.
- Walk the job in the field to verify field conditions and confirm equipment matches job scope.
- Verify all component parts meet pipe and material specs, field dimensions, equipment orientation, and constructability.
- Confirm job steps, man-hours, and planned costs in SAP are accurate.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- At least 3-5 years of related experience
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Familiarity with SAP
- Background within Planning is preferred
- Teamwork and leadership skills
