We are actively looking to hire a responsible, hardworking person for an Office Administrator position for our Kansas City Office. Duties will include assisting in daily office tasks, managing our company’s general administrative activities but limited to providing support to our current team, & manager. We are looking for a long term commitment. This is a part time position & it would become a permanent full time role in future based on performance. We provide paid training.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls - Collect cheque & payments as required - Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients - Organize and schedule & follow up on appointments as required - Plan meetings and take detailed minutes when consulting clients - Comfortable in communicating in email, memos, letters, faxes and forms - Develop and maintain database & a proper filing system - Update and maintain office policies and procedures - Order office supplies and research new deals - Maintain contact lists - Submit and reconcile expense reports - Provide general support to visitors - Liaise with executive and staff requests and queries from senior managers - Office is accessible by public transit however looking for someone who can drive locally. - This is not a remote position. - This is an office position Hours. Hours many change as per business needs
- Other duties as required Requirements - Proven 1-2 experience as an Administrative Assistant in a office setting - Excellent written and verbal communication skills & eager to learn & grow within. - Basic to intermediate knowledge on social media marketing - Attention to detail and problem solving skills - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task - Knowledge of office management systems and procedures - Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular) - Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work & come to work on time. - High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus Job Types: Casual, Permanent, Part-time, Full-time Pay: $15.50 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * Language training provided Flexible Language Requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift Supplemental Pay: * Bonus pay * Overtime pay Work Location: In person
