Due to eligible grant funds, this position offers a $5,000 hiring bonus. The bonus will be paid to the hired candidate half after 30 days ($2,500) and half upon the successful completion of 6 months of work ($2,500). Employees must be in good standing to be eligible for hiring bonuses.

Job Scope: Provide clinical and administrative oversight to a team of clinicians providing intensive, recovery oriented behavioral health services to persons living with serious and persistent mental illness who qualify for ACT (Assertive Community Treatment). Supervisor will be an active team member, carrying a caseload, providing clinical interventions, sharing in 24-7 crisis coverage and supervising team member assignments and activities. Hire a team of dynamic and quality clinicians to provide community-based services delivered at flexible times that meet clients’ needs and in settings that offer the best potential for positive outcomes. Effectively engages consumers in treatment planning that fosters hopefulness and motivates change. Participate as part of department leadership team, provide program orientation, monitor staff documentation, complete payroll and lead team meetings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day clinical and administrative operations and activities of full-time and part time members of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team
- Lead daily ACT team meetings and assure team participation in utilization and peer review
- Coordinate and oversee ACT Program Assistant activities to ensure daily duties and team support is provided
- Track and complete case assignments and complete daily scheduling to ensure services meet fidelity requirements (frequency, variety of staff, etc)
- Provide a full range of clinical care to clients receiving treatment services from the ACT team at large estimated at 25-30% direct service. Provide services to all clients served by team at least once per quarter to assure quality assurance and accurate assessment and treatment recommendations
- Direct service will prioritize clients needing more complex care, clients struggling with staff interpersonal relationships, and those needing more assertive outreach and engagement for consistent treatment.
- Responsible for working with ACT therapist to take the lead on assessment and treatment planning, while integrating team specialist information including substance use, vocational, and peer recovery
- Ensure that care provided integrates all facets of clients’ lives including mental/emotional health, physical health/wellness, employment and education, social and family relationships, substance use/abuse issues, and housing needs
- Provide weekly and ad-hoc clinical and administrative supervision to a team of 7-12 direct reports, including clinical direction and administration with treatment planning and delivery
- Complete regular co-visits with staff to include modeling and observing services provided as part of training, quality assurance, and assessments and crisis intervention support
- Ensure all clinical activities performed by the team are compliant with standards, policies and procedures of the Assertive Community Treatment model, KYC organization, and DMH/IDHS requirements for Colbert, Williams, and Front Door
- Monitor team staffing needs and hiring, orientation and training of all team members
- Actively monitor individual team member’s targets (productivity expectations) and documentation compliance to assure that the team meets or exceeds team productivity target
- Provide performance evaluations for all supervisees, building on strengths and identifying ongoing growth/training needs, and supporting professional development
- Coordinate with Comprehensive Transition Program supervisors and Front Door supervisors to facilitate transition of Williams & Colbert members from nursing home to community and diversion of Front Door participants
- Complete and oversee all pre-authorizations and authorization requirements for treatment
- Participate in orientations, all staff meetings and training/ development seminars Interpret and communicate, at the service delivery level, Center policies and procedures
- Submit, in a timely and accurate fashion, schedules, timesheets, mileage and other reports required by the Center’s policies and procedures
Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, counseling or a related discipline
- Licensed in Illinois as LPC/LSW that meets Rule 132/140 designation required. Eligibility for LCSW/LCPC licensure within 12 months is preferred
- At least 2 years of experience working with adults with serious mental illness, preferably considerable experience with clients with psychosis and/or substance use conditions
- Preferred 1 year experience working in non-traditional treatment environments i.e.in-home, residential, nursing facility, hospital, community settings
- Preferred 1 year of experience providing administrative and clinical supervision
- Applicant must have a valid IL Driver’s License, proof of insurance, and daily access to a reliable well maintained vehicle
- Basic computer and smartphone proficiency, knowledge of Word, Excel, typing skills, and internet skills; ability to learn and use team collaboration tools (ex. Teams, Slack, etc), and Electronic Health Record systems
Schedule
- Full-time, Salary, Exempt, 30 hours per week (4 day work week).
- Hours are primarily weekdays but must have ability to work occasional evenings and weekend days in response to the needs of the target population and team scheduling/staffing capacity
- Participate in shared on-call coverage for crisis line (additional stipend provided for shift)
