Mass Market Key Account Manager
We are seeking a dedicated Mass Market Key Account Manager to spearhead sales initiatives within the independent grocery store sector. This role suits a proactive individual who excels in building relationships, effective merchandising, and identifying sales opportunities in a fast-paced and dynamic industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with independent grocery stores to boost floral product sales.
- Explore new business opportunities and expand the customer base in the assigned territory.
- Showcase and promote seasonal floral offerings to optimize store sales and profitability.
- Account Management:
- Maintain consistent contact with customers, delivering superior service and prompt support.
- Provide advice on product selection, merchandising strategies, and seasonal trends.
- Guarantee precise processing and timely delivery of all customer orders.
- Merchandising & Product Knowledge:
- Support stores in creating and maintaining appealing floral displays to increase consumer purchases.
- Train, teach, and develop store managers and staff on best practices in floral care, effective pricing strategies, and identifying top-selling products to enhance sales performance and customer satisfaction.
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
- Operational & Administrative Duties:
- Monitor and report on sales performance, market conditions, and customer feedback.
- Work collaboratively with logistics and procurement teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Keep accurate records of sales activities, orders, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the floral, grocery, or perishable goods sector.
- Prior experience with independent grocery stores or retail accounts strongly preferred.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Self-driven with effective time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with seasonal fluctuations in sales.
- Technical Skills:
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel required for managing and analyzing large datasets with functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization.
- Competence in CRM software and Microsoft Office for managing sales and customer data.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for territory travel.
- Capability to lift and handle floral products as needed.
