Essential Functions
This position works in a branch office setting, with some regular exposure to warehouse and pipe yard environments. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, tape dispensers, and forklifts. Staff must be physically able to accomplish the demands of the job in the lifting and moving of material.

Essential Functions
- Take customer sales orders both in person and over the phone and/or email.
- Quote material per customer requests.
- Enter sales orders with necessary purchase orders and job information.
- Coordinate the sequence of shipping material to appropriate job site or industrial plant.
- Ensure paperwork is accurately entered, priced, and shipped to the customer.
- Provide feedback regarding any issues encountered with customer pricing, new product needs, or other issues to outside sales and branch manager.
- Build relationships with our customers and associates.
- Work with outside sales to discuss customer relationships and sales growth opportunities.
- Keep up to date on industry news and trends, offering our customers a source of current news and expertise.
- Allocate needed materials for orders with own branch inventory, another branch (via warehouse transfer), or outside vendor (via purchase order).

Job Requirements
- High school diploma-GED required.
- Industrial and Pipe, Valve, and Fitting experience required.
- Wholesale distribution experience preferred.
