Job Title: Principal Engineer Manufacturing
Location: Tampa, FL
Salary: $140k
A company specializing in highly engineered, complex, and severe environment products is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and maintain manufacturing processes for components, subassemblies, and top-level assemblies while ensuring design and quality standards are met. This role serves as a key liaison between Manufacturing Engineering and Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain technical standards for manufacturing.
- Lead process control and PFMEA activities.
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes through design, tooling, and materials analysis.
- Support capital equipment procurement and process efficiency initiatives.
- Lead troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects (Lean, Kaizen, SMED).
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to optimize production.
- Maintain ERP system updates for manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) with 7–10 years’ experience.
- 10 years in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing (high-mix, low/mid-volume).
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process control, and technical standards.
- US Citizenship required.
