Position Summary:
The Manager of Residential services is the front-line manager responsible for coordinating the needs of the people supported by KCI, assisting with staffing needs, and assuring communication with Direct Support Professionals, and administrative staff. Our Manager of residential servicers is a creative, flexible, organized, and compassionate leader. The Manager of residential servicers is part of a team responsible for assisting each resident to live in a safe, enjoyable home environment reflective of his/her needs and interests with opportunities to learn from new experiences. The Manager of residential servicers is responsible for the oversight of their assigned house(s) which are part of the Community Living Programs, the supervision of the house staff, and providing direct support to the staff and individuals within those houses. The Manager of residential servicers trains, guides, and engages with their team of Direct Support Professionals.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Supervises the day-to-day operation of the home including monitoring of PCPs, staffing, and house operations.
· Ensuring compliance with OHCQ, DDA, and KCI policies and practices to promote the best quality life and provide available choices for the people being supported.
· Conduct weekly house meeting to convey policy changes/updates, initiatives, and review person-centered planning goals.
- Develop monthly activity calendars and menus with individual’s choice and preference
- Conduct all necessary shopping for the homes under Manager of residential servicers charge.
- Conduct weekly cleaning checks at assigned homes. Report any damages/repairs to facilities management.
- Maintain good financial records of petty cash, debit cards and client’s funds, including but not limited to the submitting of receipts on time monthly.
- Creates an environment that enables people receiving support to reach their greatest potential and personal goals.
- Provides regular monitoring of medication counts, administration, and MAR’s; reports errors/omissions promptly to the Delegating Nurse and Director of Community Living.
- Provides initial and ongoing training in the Community Living program.
- Ensures that all documentation and drills are complete and submitted in a timely manner.
- Maintains assigned vehicle(s) to ensure cleanliness, mileage documentation, and vehicle maintenance is completed, while taking corrective action when necessary.
- Handle staff scheduling, call outs, time off, and coverage.
- Ensure all staff are trained on new PCPs within 20 days after the IP meeting, submit training sign-in sheet to the Co-Director of Community Living and Coordinator of Info Systems.
- Working assigned shifts as direct support for the people in the Community Living Department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
· Required- Minimum of 1-year experience in a DDA setting or comparable setting
· Preferred- previous supervisory experience
Physical requirements:
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
