Schedule - 2 hours per day; Monday-Wednesday evenings 5pm-7pm; total of 6 hours per week
$18.00/hr
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Preferred experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, or in a customer service role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google docs, and basic database management
- Professional demeanor, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish, French, etc.) are a plus.
- Familiarity with adult education is desirable but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide general information about Kent ISD’s Adult Education programs and services.
- Assist teachers and registrar with maintaining accurate attendance records.
- Unlock/lock doors and place or remove Adult Ed signage near main entrance to the building.
- Assist with student registration, enrollment inquiries, and any program-related test proctoring.
- Assist in emergency procedures and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Adult Education or Site Manager.
