SMT Quality Control Inspector  in Richardson, TX 75081

Pay : 18 / hr

Schedule :

M-F 8 am- 5 pm plus Saturday when needed

Job Summary :

Ensure all procedures, instructions and forms are clearly defined, communicated and effective. Generate quality performance data for internal operations / products and outgoing quality levels. Coordinate and report on corrective / preventive action activities and identify permanent root cause resolution.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

• Study and interpret instructions.
• Listen to directions from supervisors.
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Interpret measurements.
• Ability to use variety of inspection tools.
• Verify specifications.
• Ensure working environment is a clean and safe.
• Complete quality control forms.
• Conveyance of information pertaining to observe quality trends and issues.
• Ability to inspect parts for cosmetic issues.
• Ensure all parts are fitted and screwed in properly.
• Complete quality control forms.

Job Requirements and Qualifications :

• High school diploma or general education degree.
• Two years of related experience and / or training.
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Must possess good attention to detail.
• Ability to use typical equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dials indicators, oscilloscopes, component testers and the like.
• Must be proficient in working with Microsoft Excel, Word and Office Suite products.
• Walking : Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work Plant to another.
• The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check and education verification as outlined by Libra.
• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and / or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and / or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
