Senior Cost Accountant- Salary up to $120K

KeyStaff Professionals is partnering with a company in the Southwest Suburbs looking for a Senior Cost Accountant. This role focuses on cost accounting, financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. It also involves managing financial forecasts and ensuring accurate reporting across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safeguard company assets by monitoring and reviewing inventory transactions and procedures.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory management, and internal control policies.
• Support production, supply chain, and product line management by ensuring accurate material pricing, meeting margin targets, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and review financial forecasts by setting schedules, gathering data, and conducting financial analysis.
• Contribute to corporate strategic planning by helping define company goals, objectives, and strategies.
• Directly oversees the Accounts Payable Specialist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong background in manufacturing finance.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and work effectively across multiple locations.
• Strong project management skills and process improvement driven
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality.
