Position Description:
Keystone is excited to grow and build upon our Advancement team and has created multiple new positions to help serve our mission of strengthening the capacity of individuals and families to improve their quality of life!
The Individual Giving Manager cultivates relationships with current and prospective donors to increase their involvement and support of Keystone’s services and mission. This position is responsible for the research, cultivation, and solicitation of individual donors and the development of processes and strategies to grow the program.
The Individual Giving Manager will work closely with senior leadership and other team members to build a program to drive revenue through individual donations.
Essential Functions:
70% - Gift Officer and Donor Relations:
- Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward supporters.
- Identify donors’ passions and interests, build relationships, and leverage those relationships into meaningful support opportunities.
- Create proposals for general operating, program specific, and planned gifts, including blended asks.
- Regularly communicate with donors through personalized thank-you notes, phone calls, and targeted engagement opportunities.
- Works within the CRM to track communication, view data, and assist in analyzing data to inform and prioritize individuals and strategies.
- Research, identify and qualify new potential individual donors, using data analysis and donor insights to inform strategies.
- Meet or exceed individual goals as well as help the team to reach group revenue goal
- Communicate the value and impact of Keystone while representing Keystone in the community
20% Individual Giving Program Management and Strategy:
- Create and execute a comprehensive annual giving strategy to increase donor retention, engagement, and revenue growth.
- Lead the strategy, planning and execution of direct mail, email, and online giving campaigns.
- Partner to develop compelling content for individual giving communications, including solicitations, appeals, newsletters and updates.
- Implement stewardship strategies to ensure donors feel appreciated and informed about the impact of their contributions.
- Analyze trends to ensure the program remains effective and responsive to the needs of individual donors.
- Develop and track metrics for success and create reports to assess the effectiveness of individual giving efforts.
10 % Other Duties as Assigned
- Participate as an active member of the Keystone team
- Actively participate in the creation and execution of fundraising activities and events, including site tours, donor visits and events
- Consistently act as an internal and external ambassador for the Advancement
- Contribute to shared goals and collaborate with colleagues on achievement of priorities
- Complete other tasks as assigned
Qualification Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Human Services, or a related field. Related work experience will be considered, in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- Five years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or related non-profit work.
- Proven track record of accomplishment with annual giving or major giving programs.
- Knowledge of researching and analyzing data to identify top prospects.
- Effective communication skills creating, managing, and maintaining relationships.
Qualification Preferences
- Proficient database experience including strong data analytical and computer skills.
- Knowledge of planned giving or legacy giving programs.
- Strong problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
Physical/Mental Requirements
Physical working conditions include frequent computer work, telephone calls, and moving around the office. In addition, this position may need to travel to community locations and may need to partake in some evening and weekend hours for meetings and/or events.
Mental requirements include ability to provide effective written and verbal communication skills to professionally interact with vendors, community partners, Keystone staff, and staff from other organizations.
