The role includes customer relationship development, personnel growth, facility and equipment optimization, financial management, and short- and long-term planning.
Duties And Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- Support Keystone Cooperative’s stated Vision, Mission, and Business Values
- Drive the implementation of the Keystone ag technology platform (Elite Ag X) as one of the key strategies to enhance customer experience
- Serve as the bridge between data, technology, and sales to make highly analytical decisions to increase the grower’s ROI
- Connect data, analytics, and information to drive efficiencies in our operations team
- Work with IT to ensure proper flow of data from outside vendors into internal systems
- Assist in developing the vision and roadmap to execute current and future company goals and objectives to provide the best technology
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration to identify specific metric collection requirements and process improvement measures to serve up to our internal team (Power BI)
- Provide agronomic education and training to sales staff and growers regarding Keystone’s agronomic advantages
- Make sound and ethical agronomic recommendations to maximize profitability for our customers
- Actively gather and communicate market conditions and trends, customer needs and values, and product gaps to allow the business to create or modify product offerings
- Stay current on features, benefits, and value of new technologies to make informed recommendations
- Maintain a robust product validation and evaluation system
- Seek out and evaluate all new Ag Tech offerings
- Serve as a key leader on the Executive Agronomy team
- Working knowledge and experience with agricultural operations and processes, as well as experience managing teams, programs, and budgets
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Energetic self-starter who works well under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines in an autonomous environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and external client
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Directly managed a team for at least three years
- Valid driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy.
