JOB SUMMARY
An Area Coach is an energetic leader responsible for driving the growth and success of multiple Quick Service Restaurants (QSR). In this role, you will:
- Oversee the people, processes, and operations to ensure excellence in daily activities across 6-8 assigned stores.
- Serve as a mentor, coach, and trainer, recognizing and motivating Restaurant General Managers (RGMs), Assistant Unit Managers (AUMs), Shift Supervisors (SS), and Restaurant Teams.
- Support managers, set and plan goals, and focus on in-store opportunities, process improvement, and maintaining high standards.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Oversight:
- Conduct regular site visits to review operations, address issues, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and other operational and financial costs.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, nurture, develop, and inspire your teams to build a culture of excellent customer service.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to help achieve operational and financial goals.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and create development plans.
- Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture where everyone feels valued.
Financial Management:
- Understand and manage the restaurant's Profit and Loss (P&L) statement.
- Manage budgets for each restaurant in the area.
- Review and analyze financial statements, sales reports, and other performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement strategies to control costs and increase profitability, including labor management, inventory control, and waste reduction.
Customer Service:
- Ensure all restaurants deliver a consistently high level of customer service.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Implement customer service initiatives to enhance the guest experience and build customer loyalty.
Marketing and Promotions:
- Execute local/national marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies as needed to drive sales and traffic.
Quality Control:
- Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, equipment, and sanitation in all restaurants.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local health regulations, and industry standards.
- Implement regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee inventory management and ensure adequate supply levels in all restaurants.
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products/services at agreed-upon prices.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
Strategic Planning:
- Assist in developing long-term strategic plans for the growth and expansion of the area.
- Identify opportunities for new restaurant openings, relocations, or remodels.
- Participate in regional and corporate meetings to align area operations with overall company goals and objectives.
Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and present regular reports on area performance, including sales, labor, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Communicate effectively with RGMs, team members, and upper management to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Problem Solving:
- Identify and address operational challenges and issues proactively.
- Implement solutions and best practices to improve efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with other Area Coaches and departments to share insights and strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a multi-unit management role within the QSR or fast-food industry.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets and P&L statements.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to delivering superior guest experience.
- Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years as multi-unit restaurant management experience, preferably in Quick Service Restaurants.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old with valid U.S. ID.
- Must pass a criminal background check and be able to manage minors.
- Must be flexible with work hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.
- Ability to stand for lengthy periods and lift up to twenty-five pounds.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
