Job Title: Chief of Staff to the Founder & CEO
Location: Chicago-based preferred | Hybrid
Company: Knoblauch Family Capital Development (KFCD)
Employment Type: Full-Time | High-Trust Role | Executive Track Potential
About KFCD
KFCD is a values-driven lifestyle venture founded by Kurt Knoblauch, blending innovation, ethics, and elevated living. We focus on family capital, financial growth, mentorship, design, and cultural experiences—redefining what it means to build a life and legacy with intention.
As we scale our operations and influence, we’re hiring a Chief of Staff to serve as the founder’s right hand—part operator, part gatekeeper, part visionary whisperer. This isn’t just a job. It’s an inside track to shaping something remarkable.
The Role
As Chief of Staff, you will work directly with the Founder & CEO across every layer of the business—from scheduling and strategy to communications, project execution, and personal brand management. You will be immersed in high-level initiatives, key relationship-building, and day-to-day leadership activities.
Your job is simple to define but hard to do: Make the founder more effective, more focused, and more free to lead. That means being two steps ahead, filtering distractions, managing the to-do chaos, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
If you’re highly intelligent, wildly resourceful, discreet, obsessive about details, and you actually like being the go-to fixer behind the scenes—this is your dream role.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the central point of contact and filter for the Founder’s time, energy, and priorities
• Prepare daily agendas, talking points, and task briefings; proactively manage what’s next
• Own key communications, correspondence, and document drafting on the Founder’s behalf
• Coordinate and track major initiatives across all KFCD pillars, partnerships, and projects
• Act as liaison between the Founder and staff, members, partners, and stakeholders
• Sit in on (or lead) meetings to ensure follow-through and alignment on next steps
• Maintain structure, flow, and feedback loops for daily, weekly, and long-term execution
• Help manage the Founder’s calendar, travel, events, and personal logistics
• Occasionally assist with creative direction, business development, and special ops
What You Bring
• Strong background in executive support, operations, project management, or consulting
• High EQ, low ego—able to be in the room without needing to be the center of it
• Obsessive about details, systems, and communication clarity
• Calm under pressure, tactful in sensitive moments, and unflinchingly loyal
• Able to anticipate needs and operate with discretion, trust, and absolute confidentiality
• Comfortable working across personal and professional domains
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a “figure it out” mindset
Perks & Potential
• Work directly with the Founder and help shape a new legacy business from the ground up
• Visibility across high-stakes partnerships, leadership summits, and major initiatives
• Flexible environment with fast upward mobility for the right person
• Competitive compensation and performance-based incentives
• Executive mentorship and future leadership track within KFCD
