- Data analysis: Collect and analyze data related to production capacity, including machine utilization, labor resources, and production schedules
- Forecasting: Predict future capacity requirements based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and historical performance data
- Modeling: Develop and maintain capacity models to simulate different scenarios and assess the impact of changes in demand, production processes, and resource availability
- Reporting: Generate and present reports on capacity utilization, constraints, and potential bottlenecks to stakeholders and management
- Resource allocation: Determine the optimal allocation of resources (e.g., equipment, labor) to meet production goals and maximize efficiency
- Process improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance production processes, reduce waste, and increase capacity through process optimization and automation
