Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Accounting: Manage all facets of accounting, including data entry, General Ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- QuickBooks Expertise: Utilize QuickBooks or similar accounting software to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and produce detailed reports
- Reconciliations: Perform General Ledger account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity and accuracy in all company accounts
- Inventory & Fixed Assets: Oversee the accounting and tracking of inventory and fixed assets, ensuring that all items are accurately recorded and depreciated as necessary
- Multi-company Transactions: Handle transactions across multiple companies, managing intercompany transactions and ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping
- Timely Processing: Ensure all financial transactions are processed promptly and accurately, meeting established deadlines and maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Record Maintenance: Maintain organized files and records to support all transactions, ensuring that all documentation is complete, accessible, and compliant with regulatory requirements
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing accurate and timely financial data to management
- Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- A minimum of three years of related work experience in accounting, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting, reconciliations, and multi-company transactions
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is essential
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines with precision
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly
- Integrity & Confidentiality: A high degree of professionalism, ethical standards, and respect for confidentiality in handling financial information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments
- A proactive approach to identifying issues and developing solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes
