With 100 locations and over 400 OB/GYNs and specialists across the country, Women’s Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility.
Women’s Care is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our financial reporting team, reporting directly to the Financial Reporting Manager. This role is heavily involved in the month-end close process, audit and accounting responsibilities.
- Execute month-end close including preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Facilitate the monthly & quarterly GAAP reporting, monthly operations review, and year end audit procedures
- Provide accounting support to the field
- Implement finance integrations for new and ongoing activities, including developing new processes and GL close activities to maintain accurate accounting & compliance.
- Independently manage tasks from initiation to completion with minimal oversight, ensuring accountability and efficiency.
- Apply critical thinking to assess the impact of changes on accounting procedures, proactively identifying potential workflow and team implications.
- Deliver accurate, high-quality work with thorough documentation and a strong ability to internalize and implement feedback promptly and effectively.
- Investigate variances and prepare detailed flux analysis comments for assigned areas, demonstrating analytical rigor and attention to detail.
- Oversee various prepaid and accrual accounts by developing prepaid and amortization schedules within the ERP system NetSuite.
- Assist in the monthly allocations process by posting allocation entries, management service fees and surplus deficit entries.
- Reconcile prepaid and accrual activity to the general ledger; prepare adjusting journal entries as needed.
- Ensure accurate expense posting to the correct department, unit, location, etc.
- Review unit/department financial results with and make adjustments when needed P&L owners to answer any inquiries
- Assist in the preparation of year-end audit requests.
- Cross-train with other functional areas to act as backup, such as revenue.
- Demonstrate and embody the Women’s Care mission and core values.
- Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance.
- Minimum 4 years of general ledger accrual accounting and/or public accounting
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial reporting systems.
- Able to work independently and proactively prioritizing tasks effectively while managing multiple responsibilities and meeting given deadlines.
- Must possess good organizational and analytical skills, be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
- NetSuite experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with multisite/multi-subsidiary healthcare is preferred but not required.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
