We're hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to join our awesome HR Team! The HR Coordinator is a vital role in the Company that serves as the point person both internally and externally in the department. This position requires someone with a varied skillset that includes customer service, office management, confidentiality, and much much more. Below are a few of the various duties the position entails:
Reception
- Serves as receptionist for HR department in absence of HR Assistant (Greets and first point of contact for walk in guests)
- Answers HR Director’s phone line and other members' lines when he or she is unavailable
- Maintain clean and organized front office space
New Employees
- Completes New Hire Paperwork/onboarding process
- Complete I-9 Forms and E-Verify authorization for new hires (in conjunction with HR Assistant)
- Request and review background checks for all new hires
- Completes new hire profiles in ADP
- Creates new employee files & complies for bi-weekly audit
- Manages New Employee Orientation schedule, sends proper notices, tracks attendance
- Creates/updates Employee Referral Bonus log
Terminations
- Ensures all documentation is gathered and paperwork complete
- Keep updated monthly Termination List
- Sends exit interviews and logs results
Benefits
- Track monthly insurance eligibility and sends proper notices to employees
- Assist employees with insurance enrollment (new hires, status changes, open enrollment)
- Enter enrollment changes in ADP and carrier platforms as needed
- Assist with annual preparation of required forms/notices (1095/1094-C, Medicare notices, etc.)
- Assists in preparations for annual 401(k) audit
Employee Assistance:

General HR
- Assist in coordinating gate passes/decals (paper, decal, and Exec/VIP) for new hires and bi-annual renewals
- Employee announcements and communications as needed
- Assist recruiting efforts as needed (scheduling interviews, reference checks, career fair materials, arranging gate passes, etc.)
- Assist in coordinating employee wellness program (scheduling events, regular communications to employees, tracking points, etc.)
- Assist in coordinating Employee Culture Committee (organizing meetings, assist with events, communications, etc.)
- Assist in coordinating employee events (Holiday Party, Appreciation events, Service Awards, Wellness, etc.)
- Review employee incident reports and file to Worker’s Comp carrier as needed (in conjunction with HR Director)
- Maintain injury log and WC files
- Assist in preparing annual OSHA logs for required filing and posting
- Serve as coordinator/writer for company newsletter
- Coordinate employee awards (monthly, quarterly)
- Respond to employment verification and unemployment requests
- Coordinate seminars and training as needed
- Ensures all information is kept confidential
- Upholds the professional image of the HR department at all times
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Physical Qualifications:
- Ability to sit 6 to 8 hours at a time
- Ability to lift at least 15 lbs
