JOB TITLE
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
We’re looking to hire an experienced professional to join our team as the Assistant Director at Kids Rock! Child Care Center in Luverne, MN.
As Assistant Director, you will :
Provide strategic direction and leadership for the opening of the new childcare center.Oversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.Manage staff development and create a positive work culture.Build strong relationships with families and the community.Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations.Starting Salary $55,000, DOQBENEFITS

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years oldBe a graduate of a high school or hold an equivalent diplomaPrefer staff supervision experience (staff supervision means responsibility to hire, train, assign duties, and direct staff in day-to-day activities and evaluate staff performance).Experience as a Lead Teacher, Assistant Director, or Director within a licensed childcare center or similar operations preferred.Must meet the education & experience qualifications of a teacher specified in Minnesota Rules part 9503.0032LINK : 9503.0032 - MN Rules Part
Must pass MN DHS Background StudyDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.Strong knowledge of technology and its use (Excel, Word, website, social media, app communication, etc.)Strong attention to detail!Strong verbal and written communication skills (marketing and advertising)Ability to lead and manage a high-performing teamCapability in early childhood teaching in a childcare settingKnowledge of childcare center pre licensing and ongoing licensing requirementsAbility with budgeting, financial management, fundraising, and grant writingAbility to build retention of families and staff through communications, high quality programming, and positive culture and atmosphereAbility to develop and implement a marketing plan to promote the center, build enrollment, and maintain positive customer / community relationsKnowledge and experience with regulatory agencies such as MN DHS Rule 3, Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), Parent Aware, Child and Adult Care Food Programs (CAFCP) or the ability and willingness to learn.Certification in first aid and CPR required within 3 months of hire; must be maintained by obtaining recertification as necessaryPERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
