Successful candidate must have excellent computer skills, including MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook). Candidates must have high levels of attention to detail, be able to multi-task, and work under a variety of priorities and changing deadlines. Must be able to adapt on the fly, handle a variety of documents, and be comfortable handling client interactions on the phone and in person. Candidate must possess strong general and analytical mathematical skills, with preferred proficiency using amortization schedules.
Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Should be able to create documents from dictation or from other document examples. Should be able to follow detailed instructions, and be able to use critical thinking skills to adapt to different situations. Must also be able to work independently.
Must be able to handle incoming and outgoing calls in an effort to resolve unpaid debts, effectively communicate in a professional, respectful manner, and adhere to laws and regulations applicable to the collection industry. Thoroughly, accurately and efficiently update each account/file assigned.
Previous experience in the area of collections, mortgage foreclosures, or other similar type matters is preferred. Prior legal experience is helpful but not required. Successful candidates will be required to complete a skills test on site which includes proofreading, Excel spreadsheet, document assembly in Word and general handwriting skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 38 per week
