We are seeking a dynamic and driven New Business Development professional to work with leadership to make furniture planning the industry norm, with Kimiko Designs as the standard for excellence. This leadership role is essential in highlighting our brand, expanding our national reach, forging new relationships, and driving our growth in the commercial furniture planning, sustainability and consulting spaces.
your responsibilities technical skills:
- Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with a focus on Fortune 500 organizations. Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients.
- Existing Network Utilization: Leverage an existing network of Fortune 500 corporate facility managers, workplace strategists, and corporate real estate project managers to generate leads and sales opportunities.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the commercial furniture industry, be able to articulate and sell Kimiko Design’s competitive advantages
- Proposal Development: Create compelling proposals that align with client needs, communicate clearly, and showcase Kimiko Designs’ expertise.
- Networking: Attend industry events and engage in networking activities to build and expand a professional network, focusing on high-profile corporate clients.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales strategies, processes, and KPIs tailored to the corporate sector.
- Collaboration: Work with the leadership team to identify strategic initiatives while also managing the process, reporting actions and results, and providing feedback.
- Performance Metrics: Meet and exceed set sales targets and performance metrics by capitalizing on your established network and creating new connections.
- Functional Crossover: Be willing to jump in to support other parts of the business as necessary, including the business units, marketing and professional development.
professional skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, with a strong focus on the commercial furniture industry. Experience working at an A&D firm or commercial real estate firm is a bonus.
- Existing network of contacts within Fortune 500 companies, specifically targeting facility managers, workplace strategists, and corporate real estate project managers.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a clear understanding of Kimiko Designs’ value proposition and unique market position.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Results-driven with a commitment to achieving sales goals.
compensation
- Base hourly rate of $50/hour
- Competitive commission structure based on sales performance and project delivery.
