The Inventory Control Analyst is based out of Kinder Morgan’s Elba Island Facility located at 1 Elba Island Road, Savannah, GA 31410.

The Inventory Control Analyst is based out of Kinder Morgan’s Elba Island Facility located at 1 Elba Island Road, Savannah, GA 31410.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Learn and apply standards and processes consistently with supervision.
- Demonstrate an understanding of investment recovery practices and approaches.
- Understand accounting practices related to inventory and surplus sales transactions.
- Perform duties with strict adherence to Kinder Morgan’s Corporate Policy.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensure appropriate levels are maintained by tracking return rates and conduct physical audits.
- Participate in the maintenance and support of the Lawson Item Master.
- Assist Project Management and Operations by locating needed materials throughout Kinder Morgan.
- Assist Operations in identifying surplus and obsolete inventory.
- Work on inventory requirements associated with acquisition integration and divestures.
- Work with field personnel on a routine basis to set and track minimum and maximum inventory levels.
- Perform analysis of inventory mix, production demand and interface regarding levels of inventory.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Facilitate surplus sales and redeployments throughout Kinder Morgan.
- Act as a liaison between the Business Unit and the Investment Recovery Company.
- Work with internal and external customers to achieve annual investment recovery goal.
- Execute Purchase Agreements and Bills of Sale.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of orders for project materials delivered to staging warehouse.
- Assist buyers and vendors with material order issues.
- Provide timely updates to Project Management on project material status.
- Resolve any material discrepancies, shortages, or damages.
- Ensure product moves seamlessly.
- Coordinate loading out of project materials with construction contractors, freight carriers and/or Project Support.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to identify process flow efficiencies and develop standardized procedures.
- Operate forklifts, vehicles, and equipment.
- Operate under safety, environmental and ethical guidelines.
- Level will commensurate with experience.
Education:
- High School Dipolma with some College or Equivalent experience, Supply Chain Management or related discipline is preferred.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Materials Management, Purchasing, Operations, Engineering or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power Point.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
- Must be self-directed, take initiative, and be an out-of-the-box thinker.
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the job.
- Must be able to multitask while providing timely and accurate turnaround on tasks, sometimes with strict deadlines.
- Take direction from Procurement Supervisor or Senior level peers.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have strong communication (written and verbal), organization, problem-solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with levels of management and employees in corporate, regional and field offices with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
- Work effectively across Business Units.
- Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of job performance.

- Must be able to work at heights up to 80 feet.
- Must be able to hear and speak clearly.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must meet medical criteria for use of respiratory protective equipment, if required.
- Travel may be required across a broad geographic region, as determined by Hiring Manager
- Job level and salary commensurate with experience skillsets
- May be required to carry a company-provided cell phone and respond as needed during working and non-working hours
- May be required to work non-traditional hours as needed
- Must be available to respond to call-out as assigned
- Perform work in dusty environment and all types of temperature/weather conditions
- Experience with Lawson Inventory Control, Requisition and Procurement modules
- Knowledge of Kinder Morgan business as a whole
- Demonstrated understanding of Kinder Morgan business units and shared service departments
