King County Facilities Management Division is seeking a Real Property Agent III – Data Specialist for our Real Estate Services Section. This position will be responsible for maintaining and advancing the use of a wide variety of facility and real property information, both tabular and spatial, among FMD staff and customers. We are looking for a dynamic collaborator with proven ability to work with and support a wide variety of team members. The successful candidate will possess a broad general knowledge of property and facilities operations, good technical skills, and a desire to be an enthusiastic ambassador of spatial data development and use within the County real estate and facilities environment.
ABOUT THE FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION:Through a workforce of over 300 dedicated employees, the FMD operates and manages the County’s capital assets by developing and maintaining cost-conscious, sustainable, high-quality facilities, and environments. The Real Estate Services Section implements policy direction on real estate matters including leasing , sales, acquisitions, permitting ,and franchises.

- Develop and maintain Real Estate spatial data sets
- Interface with KC GIS to leverage County GIS infrastructure and contribute FMD data
- Provide response mapping for Director’s and Manager’s requests
- Manage Franchise area mapping and data
- Extend Real Property Inventory data to spatial content.
- Map and manage permit location data
- Map and manage FMD building and facilities spatial data
- Participate in KC GIS governance and technical oversight for FMD
- Support mapping and analysis for property inventories and annual Custodial reconciliations
- Support and co-lead FMD Cross-Functional Team for Spatial Services
- Serve as FMD spatial data coordinator
- Develop and maintain spatial data sets, applications, and procedures for RES and FMD
- Other duties as needed to support FMD/RES spatial services
- Demonstrated skill in organizing data and streamlining work-flows
- Knowledge of GIS functions and fundamentals
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro software
- Familiarity with SQL and database management practices
- Experience in developing ESRI maps, applications, and solutions
- Experience in reading and understanding real property documentation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in digitizing paper-based practices and documents
- Experience collaborating and communicating with real estate and facilities operations staff
- Ability to summarize technical information for diverse audiences
