Under the supervision of the IT Manager, the IT Asset Specialist will be responsible for organizing, transferring, auditing, and disposing of IT assets across multiple sites. This role requires strong record-keeping skills, database management proficiency, and the ability to multitask effectively. The IT Asset Specialist will ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and best practices, while also recommending updates as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
- Report to the IT Manager.
- Maintain accurate and detailed asset records.
- Follow written and verbal instructions efficiently.
- Organize IT stock and surplus inventory.
- Conduct physical inventory assessments at various locations to verify site records, tag and identify company property, and determine equipment classification and funding sources.
- Establish and maintain respectful and professional relationships with personnel across multiple sites.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer operations, including the ability to read, write, and comprehend instructional documents.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
- Strong mathematical skills, including arithmetic operations, percentages, ratios, and basic algebraic and geometric concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- High School Diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in asset management.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach as required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic communication tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Reliable transportation to headquarters.
- Ability to pass federal, state, or local government background investigations as required.
