JOB SUMMARY
Performs transcription of dictated radiology reports and general secretarial duties.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Type x-ray reports.
- Schedule outpatients.
- Maintain patient information in the computer system.
- Enter patient's request for exams.
- Perform general secretarial services for Radiologist and Imaging Services Manager.
- Chart reports.
- Other duties as requested.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Training in medical terminology preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Medical transcriptionist experience preferred.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Good communication and computer skills required.
- Ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care.
- Must be able to successfully type 40 wpm. Typing test required and will be scheduled by KDMC.
