What are the responsibilities and job description for the RECREATION AIDE (Temp) position at Kings Harbor Multicare Center?
Kings Harbor Multicare Center is looking for a full time bi-lingual Recreation Aide to assist in entertaining and engaging our residents. This is a 1199 SEIU position which comes with great benefits and excellent pto. Please see below for the position's desciption.
§ Inform residents daily of leisure options available on unit, promoting participation.
§ Escort residents to on and off unit programs, including pushing wheelchairs, geri-chairs to designated areas.
§ Lead large and small groups as well as 1:1 visits for isolated or room bound residents
§ Provide reassurance and emotional support. Provide opportunity for resident to express needs and feelings. Promote social interaction.
§ Provide sensory tactile, environment stimulation where appropriate. Be alert to special needs of memory impaired residents
§ Responsible for all bulletin boards on designated unit and all content posted.
.§ Responsible for storage and upkeep of department materials, supplies and equipment.
§ Represent department and facility by always treating residents, families, care givers colleagues and superiors in a professional, respectful manner.
Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
